How wonderful it is to look forward to exciting events, like the birth of a child, your children's marriage or graduation, and the like.

But sometimes we sacrifice the present for the future, indulging our expectations we overlook the joy of the present.

"This is the day the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it."  Psalm 118:24
