In all my years, one more than John McCain, I have never heard or read of anyone so acclaimed, loved, admired, and respected.
John McCain was one of a kind: hero, senator, presidential candidate, maverick, a man of his word, true friend to thousands….on and on the adulations seem endless and never enough, except from the current president of the United who sarcastically once said of the former prisoner of war in Hanoi, “I’d like soldiers  who don’t get caught.”
How pitiful! How petty. How unworthy of any current living American. The president has no shame. Neither do those who follow blindly after him. The sad, inexcusable thing in their demeaning disrespect is this: They are Americans. They know better.

August 21, 2018 - Rudy Giuliani, the president's PR attorney, would have us believe that Trump Truth is Better Than or Certainly Equal to any other Truth.  It's all a matter of opinion, like claiming  that in simple math one can say 2+2 = 5 or one can say 2+2 = 4; and both are True.   That line of thinking is not just wrong, it is evil.  For to accept it would be to undermine and ridicule— to desecrate— our God-given ability to discern good from evil;  the guy who murders is the same as the guy who shoots in defense of his family; a despotic dictator is no worse than an elected president, so on and so forth Great Evil is perpetuated.

We have a decision before us:  Is the performance we are seeing from our president good or is it evil?   Where do you stand?  I've made my choice.

Tactics of the Bully…

From the Work Place Bullying Institute.... A Bully is exposed because he/she has (Top Six signs)

1. falsely accused someone of “errors” not actually made (71%)
2. stared, glared, was nonverbally intimidating and was clearly showing hostility (68%)
3. discounted the person’s thoughts or feelings (“oh, that’s silly”) in meetings (64%)
4. used the “silent treatment” to “ice out” & separate from others (64%)
5. exhibited presumably uncontrollable mood swings in front of the group (61%)
6. made up own rules on the fly that even she/he did not follow.

On the playgrounds of  small town America, a bully is not tolerated.  Maybe for a single day, but for no more than two.  The kids learn well  how to ignore and isolate them.

Donald J. Trump is a petty little man, who has been elevated by an "unthinking" world to a stature over and above any he could ever rightly deserve.

Southern Anglo politicians (and their kin) are delighted when  Southerners claim that "race" really had little or nothing to do with causing the Civil War.  It supports their arguments for states rights, while nursing the still lingering hurts of Anglo southerners for having lost that war, assuring their votes come election time.   So, these lily-white politicians  say little or nothing about improving race relations; or when they do speak on the subject their words are but veiled coverings of  their own White Supremacist positions, a la Jeff Sessions.

Even in schools where American history is taught it is still too common for the real history that led up to the Civil War to be dealt with far too casually, further justifying the continuation of erroneous beliefs and  a very, very sick racism goes unconfessed and untreated..

Many Americans do not understand  their inward feelings and what they mean.  They just know they're uncomfortable with other races, people talking in Spanish or, for that matter, any language other than English, and with people suggesting they're racially prejudiced when they don't want to admit or think that they are.  In realty, the being "uncomfortable" traits are racist, deeply-embedded feelings that we have inherited from our slavery past and plantation mentality.  We do best when we acknowledge them and work toward finding solutions to the problems they cause.

Stephen Miller is not a nice man, either to look at or to hear.  He is a fear-mongerer, who just happens to be our WH director of speechwriting.

You are apt to be a Millerite if you agree with the following:

"Everything that is wrong with this country today, the people who are opposed to Donald Trump are responsible for." — from a campaign-warmup by Miller.

From a current Duke political science brochure: By completing an undergraduate major in political science, you will acquire a sophisticated understanding of political processes.

While at Duke, Miller opposed campus smoking bans and said, "smoking has not been shown to be unhealthy."

Also, he told Duke Latino students to speak only English.

So, there you are - sophistication in the White House.  Who needs it?

Miller has made his living supporting far-right nationalism.
