The News – Timely and Unbroken, 21 Jan 2019

The Shutdown is in its 31st day and the nation honors Martin Luther King Jr.

Democrats and Republicans appear no closer to ending the impasse than when it began, with President Donald Trump lashing out at his opponents after they dismissed a plan he’d billed as a compromise.

Would-Be Peacemaker, Nathan Phillips, Started Beating His Drum

Friday, 18 Jan 2019 — The crowd of students, some of whom wore MAGA caps, mocked Native Americans while chanting "Build the Wall" and using derogatory language, he said. The students had a "mob mentality" that "was scary," Phillips said. "It was ugly, what these kids were involved. It was racism. It was hatred. It was scary."

A group of Catholic teens from Covington, KY, in DC for a March for Life became angry with four Black Israelites, who were also demonstrating.  Then the conflict appeared to be getting out of hand, Phillips stepped forward and began t o beat his drum.  He was taunted by the students.  Phillips, of Detroit MI, was attending March for Native Americans.  The young man facing Phillips was not bullying him.  He was listening and apparently somewhat taken in by Phillips.
