When Two #1’s Are Not Equal

Bailey Maupin celebrates a score against Canadian, 12.30.21.

GRUVER - In late afternoon and early evening of the eve before the final eve of 2021, the Gruver Lady Greyhounds (#1 in 2A) easily hung a first loss on the 3A#1 Canadian Lady Wildcats, 57-32.

Home court was an advantage for Gruver, after all, the game was played in their tournament;  but not enough to explain the 25 point margin.  Simply put, Gruver was the better team.

The Lady Cats clearly have some revamping to do before beginning their district competition against Dalhart on January 7.   Prior to that encounter, they will regroup against 2A's #7 Wellington (6-2-1) on  Monday, January 3.

Gruver opens its district competition on Tuesday, January 4. against Stinnet West Texas (1-12).

  1. An interesting discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
