Daily Devotion – 24 February

As I write, the Russian invasion of Ukraine begins its second year.   I allude to it not in support of war but in support of courage, that quality so well exemplified by Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine.

Most of us will never be in a situation like that of Zelensky.  But all of us will likely be called upon from time to time to reach down and activate the guality we call courage, which when implemented displays our ability to press on and overcome difficult circumstances.

Yes, each of us has courage.   We strengthn it day by day as we solidify our values.  It is natural to want to live; and our survival depends often on how well we respond to issues we confront.

Do we run from dangerous happenings?  Or do we work through them?  Do we support persons of courage or do we not?

Those are key questions life poses to us.

2 Samuel 10:12. “Be of good courage, and let us be courageous for our people, and for the cities of our God, and may the Lord do what seems good to him.
