2A Girls Vie for Regional Championships, 2A Boys Advance to Regional Quarterfinals (updated)
February 25, 2023 - Today, eight teams in Girls 2A basketball competion match up at 1:00 pm, to determine which will play in the Alamodome state tournament, March 2-4.
Region I - Gruver 38, Panhandle 36
Region II - Lipan 50, Nocona 36
Region III - Martins Mill 58, LaPoynor 25
Region IV - Hearne 49, Big Sandy 45
Meanwhile, the 2A Boys move on to Feb. 27-28, with 32 teams still in the hunt:
Region I - Floydada vs. Farrell; Plains vs. Reagan County; New Deal vs. Gruver; Christoval vs. New Home
Region II - Itasca vs. Lipan; Lindsay vs. Wolfe City; Tolar vs. Nocona; Sam Rayburn vs. Muenster
Region III - Grapeland vs. LaPoynor; Tenaha vs. Timpson, Martins Mill vs. Frankston; Beckville vs. Hawkins
Region IV - Flatonia vs. MIlano; Santa Maria vs. Port Aransas; Thorndale vs. Big Sandy; Stockdale vs. Mason
