Upsets Continue among Early 2022 Favorites in 2A and 3A

For 2A1, 2A2. and 3A1. Week 2 saw three ranked teams lose, one loss in each.  In 3A2, three of the Top 5 were taken down.

In 2A1 the defeat of #2 Centerville was
inflicted by closely matched up #5 Crawford, 27-6, in Crawford.  Centerville led 6-0 at halftime but appeared listless and out of shape in the second half, which, when that happens, one thing is almost a certainty:  you're going to lose.

In 2A2, # 3 Wellington fell to Lubbock Christian, 24-28.

#5 London in 3A1 suffered an unexpected lop-sided loss to Refugio, 6-39, a sure sign the Bobcats are recovering from their embarrassing 12-49 whipping at the hands of the Hitchcock Bulldogs in Week 1.

Perhaps the most significant losses for Week 2 took place in 3AD2, in which #1 Canadian was downed 47-21 by Bushland,

Woodville won narrowly over #3 Newton in 3A2, which also saw Cisco rise up to whip #5 Wall 18-15.

Later this week, Texosport will post its revisions to Top 5s for Week 3.  After a close look at al the results for the four divisions, Longhorn Putt will do the rankings.  A first bevaluatio of the results tells him that Bushland deserves to be ranked. that Refugio may have earned a return to the Top 5 and that Cisco has earned 'Top' recognition

And let us not overlook Cameron Yoe. which toppled Yoakum 62-28, a week after soundly defeating Lago Vista, 71- 46 in Week 1.  HC Rick Rhoades has returned!  In 2016 he accepted the same position at Gregory-Portland, where he had a mixed bag of success.  Rhoades is, obviously, glad to be back in Cameron.  But "woe" now to opponens of the Yoemen.
