Lovelady (2A), Undefeated Mathis (3A) Hold on to #1 Softball rankings, week of April 4, 2022
Defending 2A champion Stamford stays at #3 spot. Ganado (17-4) has emerged as a strong contender out of Region IV. And Falls City is also making noises as it holds on to its undefeated #19 place.
Emory Rains (10-8), the 2021 3A state winner, remains unranked. But it may be much too early to write off the Lady Wildcats.. They're recently won four straight, and by huge margins.
The 2A and 3A state tournaments will begin on May 31, on the Red and Charline McCombs field in Austin..
