Even as we applaud the Schulenburg Shorthorns for their upset win, 29-16,  over the Mason Punchers, we do so rather quietly;  the win may have earned the Shorthorns a rematch in Subregionwith powerhouse Shiner, which is rather like asking for a tornado when all you really want is a refreshing shower to send you on your way.  First, though, the Shorthorns must defeat Kenedy in the Area  round.

The second BiDistrict night of 2021 saw several high scores, with Mart's 85-6 humbling of Clarksville in 2AD2 topping the winning numbers.  Tatum lit the scoreboard with 55 but Pottsboro ended with one more, 56,  to close out the season for the Eagles as the Cardinals advanced in 3AD1.
