Catholic Diocese of Corpus Christi releases names of priests accused of sexual abuse

KiiiTV, Corpus Christi, has published on its website a list of the 26 PLUS all the names of priests that have been accused to date, from around the state.

UT Austin "Texas Cowboys" Suspend Some Members Over Hazing Incident

Austin Statesman — A University of Texas spirit group says it has suspended some members and expelled others who participated in hazing the night before a new member was grievously injured in a wreck on the way back to Austin from a retreat. But the Texas Cowboys, echoing an earlier statement by its alumni group, said a third-party investigation found that neither alcohol nor hazing contributed to the accident that led to Nicholas Cumberland’s death four weeks later.

The statement released by William Furst, the foreman of the Cowboys and a senior majoring in UT’s Plan II honors program and economics, is the first public comment by the student organization since Cumberland was ejected from a pickup Sept. 30 on U.S. 183 in Lampasas County. Cumberland, 20, was a junior majoring in business, finance and radio-television-film.

How a medical assistance robot named 'Moxi' is helping UTMB Galveston nurses

Houston Chron —Two weeks into her new job, UTMB Galveston's first ever medical assistant robot, Moxi, has patients and nurses swooning over her.

"It's been really cool to see such a positive response," Jennie Sealy Hospital nurse manager Ashleigh Thomas said.

Created by Texas-based company Diligent Robotics, the "socially intelligent healthcare service robot," as described on the company's website, is designed to help nurses with logistical tasks like delivering linens, admission supplies and lab samples. Moxi started at the Jennie Sealy Hospital at UTMB Galveston Jan. 21.
