Hawley? Timpson? Can They Beat the Odds?

Shiner (2AD!), Mart (2AD2) and Franklin (3AD2) have been my title favorites since preseason.

And even though I stayed most of the season with Jim Ned to repeat, Brock is no real surprise in 3AD1, nor is Mount Vernon; Lago Vista and Lorena are.  Still. we have gone out on the proverbial "limb" and picked Brock to win out.

Here's the why behind our choices:

Shiner?  Answer:  Brooks.  No 2AD1 team can match the brothers.

Mart?   I am not stupid.

Why Hawley over Marlin?  A surprisingly solid, excellent season.  Plus, I just like the name and I'm excited for the team and its eager fans.  However, Marlin Coach Rueben Torres deserves much credit for getting his team so far, and possibly even further.

Franklin?  The Lions are due the title Canadian barely denied them in 2020.

Brock?  It's a tossup for me, really, choosing Brock over Mount Vernon.  But Brock has been there; the players and the coaches know how to win a title.

But as always, there will be surprises.  And personally, I'd like to see Hawley, Timpson and Lago Vist take the crowns.  Franklin, too.

Of course, it's not all that important what I think.  The players, coaches, teams, and their fans are the ones that count.
