Can Tolar Challenge Crawford in Region II, 2AD1?

All season long, the District 8 Crawford Pirates have been the favorites to represent Region II in the state semifinals.

But Tolar (9-0) out of District 5 may have a big say about that.  The Rattlers are playing like they want to claim the title.

Tolar has ripped through its nine opponents rather easily, with their closest encounter a 16-6 win over a very good Coleman team on Oct.  7th.

Jeremy Mullins is in his 6th season as Tolar Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. His teams have won 40 and lost 27, which figures include this year’s wns.    Jeremy is ably assisted by his father, Kieth Mullins.  Prior to Tolar, Jeremy worked for his dad in Boswell.

A graduate of Merkel HS, Jermey Mullins played collegiately for Eastern New Mexico University.

The Rattlers must travel to San Saba (6-3) on Friday, Nov. 4th, to finish the season.  After that, it's unclear which District 6 team they will face for BiDistrict; however, a quick look at the scrambled District 6 records suggests that Tolar's first playoff opponent may be Whitewright.
